More About Dr. Colin A. Ross, M.D. 

Colin A. Ross received his M.D. from the University of Alberta in 1981 and completed his psychiatry training at the University of Manitoba in 1985. He has been running a Trauma Program in the Dallas, Texas area since 1991 and consults to two other Trauma Programs, one at Forest View Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan and one at Del Amo Hospital in Torrance, California. His Texas Trauma Program moved to UBH Denton in September, 2015.  Dr. Ross has spoken widely throughout North America and in Europe, China, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. Besides his psychiatric research and writing, Dr. Ross has written poetry, short stories, essays, aphorisms, creative non-fiction, and screenplays.

About Additional Speakers 

  • Julie Beach Hill- has a bachelors degree  from Palm Beach Atlantci University in Psychology and  her master of arts  degree in counseling from Trevecca Nazarene  University  in Nashville, TN. Julie is licensed by the state of  Fl as a mental health counselor.  She also studied Hypnosis, EMDR and TIR to assist with dealing with Traumatic Experiences. 
  •  Dr Darlene Williams, CP,PHD, is a Clinical Psychologist specialist in Tarpon Springs, Florida. She graduated in 1994, having over 23 years of diverse experience, especially in Clinical Psychologist. Dr. Williams also  provides Equusolutions, Inc., which  offers Equine Co-Facilitated Learning Programs: Corporate Workshops and Retreats -  CE Workshops - Couples Retreats - Veterans - Juveniles - Families - Innovative Psychotherapy Programs.  Equusolutions, Inc.  works out of various facilities in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida.  Horses provide emotional growth and learning.  It is a collaborative effort between a licensed  therapist and a horse professional working with the clients and horses to address treatment goals.
  • P4T - Peace4Tarpon Trauma is a Informed Community Initiative is agrassroots effort – the first of its kind in the nation. Peace4Tarpon looks through a “trauma informed lens” to seek the root causes of our most challenging issues.
  • Pastor Tom Edwards: Tom is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Christian counselor as well as the Associate Pastor and Youth Ministry Leader at Hope Church. Tom has an AA degree in Engineering from Palm Beach Community College, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bell Haven College and a Master’s degree in Divinity as well as a Masters of Arts in Marriage Family Therapy from the Reformed Theological Seminary in Mississippi. Tom is currently pursuing a PHD with the International University for Graduate Studies, out of the UK. Besides being a Licensed as a Therapist since September 1995, he is also Certified with the Prepare/Enrich Program, trained and certified in E.M.D.R. and has been trained in Critical Incident Stress Management and School Crisis.
